NAMES Minnie Bredouw and Marshall Reiss LIVE IN San Francisco, California OCCUPATIONS Minnie is a design lead at IDEO; Marshall is a project manager at Zendesk HOW THEY MET At a mutual friend’s birthday potluck. They bonded over their love for trail running and set out to do their first run together the following week. HOW HE KNEW SHE WAS THE ONE Marshall had a quote Minnie will never forget: “This just feels right.” They made the decision to move in together while camping in Northern Patagonia, having not showered or seen a single person for days. “We figured if we could cohabitate and enjoy each other under those circumstances, we were ready for anything,” she says. BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE PARTY Adventuring in nature; him in the Cascades, her in Big Sur WEDDING TIME 5 p.m. WEDDING DAY WEATHER An overcast morning turned into sunny skies and a beautiful sunset NUMBER OF GUESTS 75 SPLURGED/SAVED Friends and family jumped in and provided a venue (Minnie’s childhood home on Orcas Island), officiated the wedding, made the cake, did hair and makeup, performed live music, did day-of coordination, landscaping, and construction.
