NAMES Rex Brown & Lindsey Matetich LIVE IN Seattle, WA OCCUPATIONS Lindsey is an Architect; Rex works at Zillow FIRST DATE It was at Sun Liquor on Pike. She was 45 minutes late. HOW DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS THE ONE Lindsey: “I felt that he was someone I could lean on forever.” Rex: “I was 51% excited to dive into a relationship with her and 49% terrified. That’s the ratio I look for when taking big risks.” WEDDING TIME 5:00 PM WEDDING-DAY WEATHER Sunny & warm! A perfect July Saturday in Seattle SPLURGED/SAVED Saved… nothing. Splurged on everything. THEIR APPROACH TO WEDDING PLANNING Really hands on and it was important to DIY a lot. WEDDING THEME Geometric shapes, primary colors, Seattle-centric FLOWERS Billy balls, dusty miller, air plants and pops of white. WEDDING CAKE A three-tiered strawberry cream triangle cake with blue, white and yellow fondant triangles from Honey Crumb NONTRADITIONAL ELEMENTS The guestbook was a globe; a “common ground” ceremony where our moms brought dirt from our respective homes and poured it into a “Seattle plant;” we left the reception in a pedicab FIRST DANCE SONG The Head and The Heart’s, “Let’s Be Still” DESSERTS A three tier cake and assorted pies from High Five Pie, and a late night snack of Dick’s cheeseburgers FAVORS Guests were given custom cozies for their cans and for those who participated in the cigar bar received takeaways of L+R matchbooks! THE DAY IN THREE WORDS Love for days!
