Save the Date: Fifth Annual NW Vintage Wedding Fair
Join a couple dozen Seattle wedding vendors who share your love for all things vintage and enjoy an intimate, old-timey afternoon of wedding inspiration and vendor acquisition at the Fremont Abbey.
By Laura Cassidy
WHERE: The Fremont Abbey
WHAT: The Vintage Wedding Fair is the work of photographer Rosemary Wagner and Ghost Gallery’s Laura Kearney; they started five years ago in response to, well, the fact that brides and grooms and guests alike were just over the moon for old-time moods and sounds and colors and themes.
Five years down the road, the pair have really honed their celebratory and curation skills; this year’s mix of vendors will set up inside the evocative and historical Fremont Abbey—an underutilized wedding venue if ever there was one—and give couples and their families an opportunity to meet with and talk with jewelry and accessories designers, innovative wedding band artisans, photographers, stationers, and more—including all manner of vintage clothing purveyors such as London Couture, Kimmi Designs, and Pretty Parlor’s new, intimate, only-open-on-Saturdays and by-appointment semi-secret bridal boutique.
All told, expect about 25 or 30 vendors, a DJ who specializes in bygone eras, and folks having a darn good time. Check out this super-adorable, toe-tapping little video; it’ll get you right in the mood.
WHEN: Saturday, May 10; VIP admission is open from 11 to 12, and then things get going in general from 12 to 4. Tickets are available now at Brown Paper Tickets.
