Call it an urban destination with faraway flair. Call it a rooftop rendezvous spot. Call it a room with a view on one of Seattle’s most vibrant neighborhoods—and the Olympics beyond.
The brand new Hotel Ballard‘s Olympic Rooftop Pavilion is, as my colleague Allecia Vermillion predicted back in October, “pretty much guaranteed to be a go-to wedding/bar mitzvah/party/event spot” for the in-city set.
With the team from Poquitos, Bastille, et al handing all things culinary in the event space (their newest restaurant goes in at ground level), revelers are assured an inventive, authentic, and well-sourced meal. The space’s heated floors and rolling glass walls are well-suited for Seattle’s unpredicatable weather; there’s room for 100 for seated dinners and 150 for a cocktails-and-canapes style gathering.
There are well-appointed, European-feeling rooms on the roof level—including a bridal suite—and plenty of gorgeous beds in the hotel below, so couples could potentially host a city getaway complete with a farmers market the next morning.
Olympic Rooftop Pavilion is available for bookings beginning July 1; contact Holly Robinson at holly @ stoneburnerseattle.com for more information.
And stay tuned for more event space news; there’s a new spot with a wonderfully old vibe in Pioneer Square, and it looks like the recently shuttered Semiahmoo has a savior.
