Bella Signature Design’s Daniela Faget recently expanded her primary enterprise to include Varmala Design, an offshoot specializing in South Asian and fusion events. For this concept, traditional marigolds were crafted into a chandelier, and gold elephants hold court with local dahlias, zinnias, and amaranths. Faget and artistic director Steven Fogell designed a DIY favor project that involves melting coconut curry chocolate from Theo Chocolate, pouring it into elephant-shaped molds, then dusting the sweets with edible gold dust. The team hosts an edible-favors workshop at Herban Feast’s design studio in February. Faget recommends Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, Hotel 1000, Fairmont Olympic Hotel, and Sodo Park for a bold and vivid reception.
