New Year, New Hue: Greenery

Get the scoop on Pantone's 2017 Color of the Year and inspiration for incorporating the fresh, verdant hue into your wedding.

Before we ushered in the new year, Pantone announced their color pick for 2017: Greenery. The hip hue is a fitting choice for weddings: “A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings,” say the color pros at Pantone.

For those of us in the wedding world, this shade comes as no surprise—greenery-laden, foliage-rich bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony archways, and wall and chair decor for receptions have dominated the floral scene for the last few years. But given our love of natural and organic design, we’re happy to see the trend continue to blossom over the next 12 months. (We certainly wouldn’t be opposed to seeing more greenery-inspired wedding gowns—we’re particularly fond of this gorgeous number, for example.) And considering our current political and social climate, and Salt Lake’s cold and gray winter landscape, we happily welcome anything that provides a (literal) breath of fresh air.

Below, check out some of our favorite greenery-tinged wedding ideas and get inspired to plan your own verdant-filled affair.
