It’s about time to start shedding winter’s neutrals in favor of some spring hues. And since making the switch to full-on brights takes as long as this change of seasons, we brought in local hair and makeup artist—and bridal beauty pro—Tiffany Lowry (a.k.a. Tiffany Colors) to ease the transition with her pop-of-color picks in Pantone’s shade of the year, Radiant Orchid.
Click any of the images below to launch a slideshow with Lowry’s advice on getting the look.

CoverGirl Instant Cheekbones Blush (Drugstores, $5) Lowry: ‘I love how light and soft this cheek color can be—with just a hint of violet and a few color tones to bring out the cheekbone you are set to go from day to night.’
Y.S.L. Glossy Lip Stain in Violine Surrealiste (Sephora, $32) ‘This glossy stain captures the shine of a gloss, color of a lipstick, and the long wear of a stain. It is also incredibly layerable so you can sport either a sheer hint of color or a full-on orchid pout.’
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Single in Golden Orchid (Macy’s, $19) ‘This is a rich lilac orchid with a beautiful low pearl finish. It has just the right amount of sheer color without it being too overpowering or too dark.’
Mally High Shine Liquid Lipstick in Orchid (Ulta, $20) ‘I love the gentle hue of shiny lipstick/gloss from lesser-know beauty brand Mally. This travels really well with its twistable brush applicator.
Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Polish in Vanity Flair (Drugstores, $5) ‘This drugstore polish dries in no time and the color is super saturated. The brush has a great bend so you can get really close to the cuticle and the bend of your nail without a mess.’
