SOMETHING OLD, NEW, BORROWED, BLUE Her wedding dress was new, and her maid of honor stitched her recently deceased grandmother’s ring onto her garter belt with blue thread. THE DAY IN THREE WORDS Elegant, charming, fun. ADVICE FOR THE BIG DAY Use a coordinator the day of the wedding even if you don’t use a consultant throughout the process. It was pouring on the morning of the wedding. Instead of stressing about it, they let someone else make sure the details of the day could be rearranged—but the clouds parted and the sun came out and the day went off just as they’d planned. HONEYMOON Planned to go Santorini, Greece, but due to flight delays and other complications, they never made it out of New York. They made up for it later by going to Venice and Cinque Terre, Italy.
